If you are thinking of buying your first remote control truck, here are some things you need to keep in mind. I would advise you pick yourself up an RTR (ready to run) kit to begin with. These RTR RC trucks often come fully assembled, or require only minimal assembly like gluing the tires to the wheels. Most of these models now also include a 2 channel radio and the servos pre-installed, saving you the hassle of trying to match a radio to servos.

Ready to run kits may be slightly more expensive than their basic unassembled kit counterparts, but if you do not have the building experience, it will save you weeks of work in assembly time, frustration and errors.

Imagine being able to bring home, or have delivered to your door, your brand spanking new RC nitro truck, removing it from it’s packaging, inserting some batteries and filling with nitro fuel…..and being able to hit the dirt track straight off! This is the beauty of RTR RC truck kits.

Some more experienced racers, or even some very adventurous newcomers, may want to build their RC monster truck from scratch, so that they get to know all the components and how they are assembled. But even with a RTR model, you will gain this knowledge anyhow by maintaining, modifying and tweaking your truck once you start to use it. If you do plan to build your own truck then allow yourself 3-5 days to put it together.

You can expect to pay $50 – $100 more for a ready to run RC nitro truck and you will probably be looking at paying $300 – $500 for a good level reliable RC truck.

To fully get going right off the rails, you will need some extras which you should remember to add to your order, or you won’t get your truck out on that first day! You will obviously need some nitro fuel and a fuel bottle is a better option for refuelling to avoid any fuel spillage. As well as this you will need a glow plug heater and you may need an electric starter pack if your truck does not have a pull cord start. It is also recommended to have some oil for routine lubrication maintenance after its first run. All in all these extras should not cost you any more than $50 – $100.

Most major manufacturers now produce fully ready to run monster trucks including Traxxas, CEN, Tamiya and Team Associated.

Yes, this can be an expensive hobby, but weigh this up against the adrenalin pumping action of these RC monster trucks and there is no contest! After all – it’s only money!

If this is your first metal detector purchase, consider getting some professional and expert advice to make sure that you have making the right choice. Metal detectors usually come with a complete control box containing the controls, circuitry, batteries, microprocessor, and the speaker. Metal detectors also include a search shaft that connects it to the coil and the control box. A search coil senses the metal and the stabilizer is responsible for keeping the unit steady when it is moved.

Tesoro Metal Detector

There are two types of Tesoro metal detectors. The Tesoro Golden Max is a metal detector that enables you to control what you want to find. It has features such as the four tone audio ID with an adjustable Notch Filter Discriminate, great sensitivity, and comes with a full depth design. The other type is the Tesoro DeLeon, a metal detector designed for the Target Identification Detector (TID).

Whites Metal Detectors

There are different types of Whites metal detectors to choose from such as: the DFX™, a great model that ultimately combines the turn-on-and-go simplicity with the sophisticated microprocessor technology. This contains an operational frequency of 3 kHz and 15 kHz which is amazingly recommendable. The XLT® Metal Detector, is a detector which provides high performance with the best flexibility. You can choose from five different programs that come with 20 Pr Options and 1o Basic Adjustments. The MXT has three separate operating modules which include jewelry/coin, relic, and gold processing. There is also the Prizm Series. This series includes all types of Prizm from II,III, IV and V. All of these contain a pinpoint mode that turns zero when in a target location.

The Fisher Metal Detectors

The 1266-X model is from Dr. Gerhard Fisher who obtained the first aircraft radio direction finders during the late 1920’s. This detector allows you to dig and search at a great depth. Although this is a good detector, it does not function clearly on saltwater surfaces. It comes with a manual and a 5 year warranty.

Garrett Metal Detectors

There are three models to choose from: The Garrett Super Scanner, a hand-held metal detector that allows you to detect from a medium-sized pistol down to the tiniest piece of jewelry. Its simplicity is unmatched. The Garett SuperWand Security, this is one of the most famous detectors. This detector has extreme accuracy in detecting metal objects and weapons with its uniform sensitivity that covers a 360° scan area. And lastly, the Garett Magna Scanner PD Walk Through, which has its own unique features in scanning the exact location like multi-coil detection and ultra-enhanced field pinpoints. The amazing feature is that it can tell the exact location of a metal object within the 33 distinct areas.

Bounty Hunter Metal Detectors

Tracker IV, this model includes a built-in Automatic Ground Tracker which is capable of maintaining ground balance. The good thing about this detector is not only is it offered at a very reasonable price, but also it is user friendly and can deliver an effective and efficient performance in different applications.

These are the well-known detectors offered in the market. Choosing the right metal detectors will depend upon your range of use and study.

Golf is a sport that is growing in stature as well as popularity. Tourist resorts, hotels and beach rentals have started to promote their packages with golf being at the top of their activity list. There was a time when Golf was a sport of the privileged but today almost everyone can play it. There are small golf clubs, tee clubs and golf parks mushrooming all across the world that offer plenty of choices from 8-holes to 16 holes and even more. So if you are a golfer by profession or by hobby, you will need golf clubs and a different club for a different shot and of course a putter.

Golfers have been through three different eras: the first one included a caddy carrying your golf clubs, the second era saw golfers use a buggy or a cart but the third era, which the newest one has modern and efficient options like the golf trolley. There are different types of golf trolleys available online including remote controlled ones for example the FCC remote controlled golf trolley. Here is a look at some of the important features of the trolley:

* The net weight of the golf trolley is 12kg without the battery
* When the trolley is open, the size is 113 x 68 x 92cm
* When the trolley is folded, the size is 82 x 68 x 31cm
* It runs on battery: 12V 24A 11.7kg
* It has a double motor and the specifications are: 360W
* The total load capacity is 25kg
* The maximum speed is 8km/h
* It can cover a distance of 18 holes on a 28A battery and 36 holes on a 33A battery
* Included with the golf trolley are scorecard holder and anti-tip wheel
* You can choose optional accessories like a drink holder and a travel bag
* The golf trolley has a state-of-the-art blue-tooth system. All you will have to do is adjust the turning angle as the handset is factory set in such a way that it will travel in a straight line.
* One of the salient points of this golf trolley is that you don’t have to push it. It will carry your golf bags and follow all your instructions through a wired handset.
* The golf trolley has been created in such a way that it has a modern appearance combined with powerful capability. It is available in two colors: black and silver
* You can fold it with ease and keep it in your car and travel with it anywhere
* It can be operated with ease and doesn’t need rocket science

Types of Trolley

There are basically two types of golf trolleys. One is the manual trolley and the other is the electric trolley.

Manual golf trolley

The manual golf trolley is light weight and an economical alternative to the electric trolley. It is also known as the push or pull trolley. Your standard golf bag can fit in with ease right onto the front section of the manual golf trolley. You can go for the 2-wheel manual trolley, which has to be pulled behind you while the 3-wheel golf trolley can be pushed or pulled. While buying a manual golf trolley, you need to consider several aspects like the durability of the trolley. The manual golf trolley is lightweight and strong too. As a result of the weight, you will be able to carry it along with you to different places. Just fold it and keep it in your car. You need to also ensure that the manual golf trolley you propose to buy folds neatly.

Electric golf trolley

The electric golf trolley is a saving grace for many professionals of the game. The electric golf trolley adds the angle of convenience to the game of golf. Unlike the manual trolley, you won’t have to push it or pull it. It can be controlled using a remote and will operate on battery. One of the aspects that you need to consider while shopping for an electric golf trolley is the batter power. If the battery is not good enough then it might run out at the 18th hole and you will have to push or pull the heavy piece of machinery all the way to the exit or the 1st hole. Ensure that it lasts long enough with just one charge. Find out the life span of the battery and the time taken to charge it. As compared to the manual version, the electric golf trolley is expensive but overall, it is a good long-term investment.

Choosing a car stereo can be a complicated and difficult task, especially for individuals with little knowledge on the subject. This process requires extensive research in order to determine you are receiving the best deal possible. Before going to a car stereo dealer, you may want to review and understand all the components of a car stereo. This way, you can personally choose which components you would like for your car. The following is a list of the basic components of a car stereo:

1.	Decks – Car stereos cannot function without a deck. A deck constitutes any piece of equipment ranging from cassette decks and CD players to MP3s and mini discs. The deck is considered the glue that holds the car stereo together. The deck controls the overall output of the sound and allows you to control the music being played. All car stereo decks have a minimum 4-channel output for your speakers. If you want more power than what your speakers alone can hold, you may want to consider purchasing an amplifier.

2.	Amplifiers – Amplifiers provide the power needed to blast the music in your car. The more powerful your amplifier is, the louder the sound system is going to be. An amplifier can have anywhere from 1 to 7 channels. The number of channels in your amplifier is the number of speakers you can hookup in a series circuit.

3.	Speakers – Speakers are where the sound from the stereo is emitted. Different types of speakers are designed to produce different frequencies. Higher frequencies provide the capacity for more sound and produce a higher level sound as well. The efficiency of the speakers is what will determine how far the sound will travel. If you want the sound to travel far, you will need speakers with a higher frequency.

4.	Subwoofers – Every high-tech car stereo system should have a subwoofer. Subwoofers complete the sound by providing high efficiency of low frequencies, through the bass. In other words, the subwoofer is the piece of equipment which makes the car vibrate. A subwoofer needs to be enclosed in either a box or possibly the trunk of your vehicle. Keep this is mind when budgeting the cost of your stereo system.

Now that you know the basics of how everything operates, you can ask informed questions as to which components you should have in your car.

I find it amazing that the interest and popularity of challenge coins and challenge coin displays keeps rising. I get many questions about military challenge coins so I have decided to gather some valuable tips for you.

The most popular challenge coins are navy challenge coins, marine corps challenge coins, army challenge coins, air force challenge coins and police challenge coins. Which one do you prefer?

Challenge coins are more precious than one can imagine – they usually worth a couple of bucks, but they have a sentimental value no one can evaluate. That’s way; you must protect your military challenge coins by using a challenge coin display case.

Buy a challenge coin display that totally answers your needs:

1. One that will make you proud of your challenge coins collection – Some have dozens of challenge coins from navy challenge coin, marine corps challenge coins and army challenge coin to air force challenge coins and police challenge coins. A collection like this could be really impressive.

2. One that will fully protect your challenge coins – Most of the challenge coin display cases have a plastic capsule for each individual coin.

I find the military challenge coins a bit magical. Did you know that no one can point exactly when the first challenge coin was made? Some say that the first one is date to World War 1. Others say that the first military challenge coin is from the Vietnam War.

I believe that people are just starting now to understand the real value of challenge coins. A good investment would be purchasing as many different challenge coins as you can. They are going to be an expensive collectible item in a few years.

But one should remember that a challenge coin represents values before everything – support to the organization minted on the coin whether it is a navy challenge coin, marine corps challenge coin or any other organization.

For many people, dolls are not just playthings for girls. They are items of beauty and historical value, and they are often indicators of the mores of the times when they were made. Any doll can become a collectible doll, whether it is a French bisque doll, a china doll, a cloth doll, a vintage Barbie or even a modern Bratz doll, as long as it is valued and loved.

If you collect dolls and if you really love your collectible dolls, you should show your love for them by taking very good care of them. For some people, their concept of caring for dolls involves storing them in a box and putting them away in an attic or in a basement and forgetting all about them. However, careless handling of dolls can result in their damage and over time, the damage can become irreversible.

How then should you care for your collectible dolls?

1. Light. Avoid exposing your collectible dolls to light, whether it is natural sunlight or fluorescent lighting. Natural lighting causes cloth dolls to fade. It also fades the color away from doll’s clothes. In addition, the heat from natural lighting and fluorescent lighting can result in vinyl or plastic dolls from getting discolored. If placing the doll in a bright and sunny room cannot be helped, at least put the doll in a corner where natural sunlight will not shine on it directly. The same goes for fluorescent lighting on the doll.

2. Storage. The best way to store your collectible dolls is to put them inside a closet with a glass display. Such a closet will keep out most of the dirt and dust from your dolls, and it will also protect them from being damaged by pets or by bugs.

3. Dust. If your collectible dolls are displayed in open cabinets or on table tops, make it a point to clean the dust from your dolls on a regular basis. Letting the dust accumulate on your dolls can make them turn dark or yellow. Also, accumulated dust can coat a doll like a thick skin that is hard to peel off.

4. Cigarette smoke. Keep the area around your collectible dolls free from smoke. Do not smoke near your dolls and do not let other people smoke near them as well. It is not just because the smell of smoke can cling to the clothes of your doll and are hard to clean off. It is also because the chemicals found in cigarette smoke can also cause a great deal of damage to your dolls.

5. Pets. Get your collectible dolls as far away from your pets as possible. Pets are adorable creatures, but they can sneak away with the head of one of your dolls or use the entire doll as a chew toy. If your dolls are of any real value aside from the obvious sentimental value, keep them away from the reach of your pets to prevent them from being damaged.

6. Plastic containers. Never store your collectible dolls in plastic containers. Some plastic containers are waterproof and they do not let water in or out of them. Storing your dolls away in an airtight plastic container can trap whatever moisture is left in your doll and keep it from evaporating. Excess moisture can later develop into damaging molds that are very difficult, if not impossible, to clean. If you do have to place your dolls in a plastic container, make sure it has holes where air can freely circulate through.

7. Bugs. Aside from keeping your collectible dolls dust-free and mold-free, you also need to keep your dolls bug-free. The cloth in a doll’s hair and costume can attract moths and carpet beetles. The same can be said of the wood in wooden dolls. Examine your dolls regularly for any sign of bug damage.

8. Temperature. Extremes in heat and cold can compromise the integrity of the material from which your collectible doll is made of. It can make the fibers of the fabric become brittle. The plastic in dolls can become deformed in heat, while ceramic and papier mache dolls can crack. The best temperature to store dolls in is room temperature, the temperature that you yourself are most comfortable in.

9. Chemicals. You may expose your collectible dolls to chemicals, especially acidic chemicals, without you knowing. The acid can come from the varnish of the wooden cabinet you have stored your dolls in or from the cardboard of your doll box. To prevent chemical exposure on your dolls, line your storage cabinet or your doll box with acid-free paper before storing your dolls away.

Collectible dolls are precious and can prove to be very valuable later on if you keep them well. Keeping your dolls well and preventing them from being damaged is simple enough to do, but it will make them last for the years to come.

Crystal is a high quality form of glass, produced with lead oxide which creates light reflection. The rainbow of light reflection is the quality that makes crystal so interesting and desired by crystal collectors and gift recipients. Crystal pieces are delicate and need to be handled and cleaned with care. Keep in mind, most damage occurs when cleaning or moving pieces. Therefore, you must be careful each time you clean a crystal piece or move it to a new location.

When moving crystal objects, always carry one object or one part of a set at a time. It is best to wrap your hands around the body of the object rather than using an existing handle, rim, or projection for support. In general, it is not ideal to routinely wash the pieces. Each time a piece is handled for cleaning there is a greater risk of breakage through accidents and mishandling. If at all possible it is better to protect pieces from soiling and dust by placing them in a dust free area such as an enclosed curio cabinet, rather than washing them too often. Also be sure they are kept well back from the edge of any shelf.

Objects should be kept free of dust, debris, and oily residues. Keeping them in a cabinet also prevents the items from being broken. If you must store crystal pieces, store each individual object separately. Do not stack or crowd items and avoid wrapping glass in tissue or newspaper, which may attract and hold dampness. When a piece has dust on it,. ?t is recommend you to use “Hair Dryer” on cool setting or canned air to get rid of dust.

Remember that fine crystal and glassware can crack or break when subjected to extremes of hot and cold. Lighting candles in candleholders is not recommended. Light the candle prior to putting it into a crystal candle holder. If an item has fingerprints on it, do not place it in a dishwasher. Fingerprints can be easily removed by using a small amount of glass cleaner with a soft, lint free cloth or washing your fine crystal and glassware by hand in moderately warm water with a mild lemon detergent and 1/4 cup ammonia (to prevent spotting). Rinse in clean water and air dry on a dish rack.

Using care and common sense when cleaning your crystal items will insure that they last for many years to come.

Music is an important part of our lives – we can use it to change our moods, create an atmosphere, or simply to relax to. Playing an instrument is not only a great way to experience the music; it is also an enjoyable, useful skill to have. The electric guitar is one of the most popular instruments, and free lessons can be found online that will help you learn to play.

The electric guitar is an instrument that can be played with many different styles of music because it has many different sounds. When listening to the radio, you can hear the electric guitar on a hard rock, jazz, blues, country, easy listening, or pop station. You may want to learn the electric guitar so you can play along with your favorite bands, but you just don’t have the money to pay for lessons. The good news is that many websites offer free guitar lessons that can teach you much of what you need to know.

The one drawback to online guitar lessons is that you don’t have a teacher right there in the room with you to help you place your fingers on the right strings and show you a specific chord. However, there are other benefits to learning from a teacher online. One, of course, is that the lessons are free. Also, many websites offer a section where you can email or chat online with your teacher if you have any questions about what you are learning. Another benefit is that you can take the lessons whenever it is convenient for you, and you can often select what you would like to learn.

There are different styles of electric guitar playing that go along with many different types of music. You can learn to play chords, and you can learn to read musical notation or tablature, which is simply the system that is used to write down a series of notes known as a guitar riff. You can learn that different strumming patterns will give you different effects. The electric guitar can also come with different effects pedals, which give your music a whole new sound when you use them.

In order to find the best free online guitar lessons, you may need to try a couple of different websites, or ask someone that you know has taken lessons before. There are lots to choose from, and once you find the one for you, you’ll be on your way to learning to play like the pros!

Selecting the right model train can be a difficult task for the newcomer to the model-railroading hobby. There are so many trains out there, each in a different size. In this article, I am going to discuss a couple important things to know before buying your first model train. I know firsthand how that very first trip to the model train store can feel. After reading this article, you will have a better understanding of what to look for.

Space and Scale

Before you even think of building a model train set, you need to know just how much space you’ll have for it. When you purchase a model train, it has a “scale” associated with it. The scale informs you of the size of the train. The majority of model train enthusiasts love the HO scale because it takes limited space for a regular setup and the detail is nice. If space is at a premium for you, look into N scale trains. These can be run in the smallest of spaces. One of my favorites is the O Scale, sometimes called O Gauge, trains. These are big boys and come with great detail. If you have at least a 6 foot by 6 foot space, you can setup a decent O scale layout. O scale model trains and accessories are typically more expensive, but they are worth it in my opinion.

Requirements

It is possible to setup your own model railroad piece by piece or to buy a complete kit. Generally, a complete kit will lack the frills associated with model railroad setups like scenery, but you can be up and running in minutes. If you end up buying a ready-to-run complete set, you can add-on to it easily by simply buying the parts you desire. Also you can run other trains on the track. Just make sure to buy the same scale as your setup. For example, if you bought a HO scale set, you want to buy HO model trains in the future.

Some Things to Look For

When buying your new model train, look to see if it is DCC enabled. This is a big one. You want to have your train DCC enabled, if possible, so you can run other trains at the same time with ease. Should you decide one train is enough for you, this is less of an issue, in my opinion. However, you never know. Your model train store will only have a very small fraction of the model trains and accessories that are out there. Don’t feel like you have to buy what they have. The Internet is full of model train stores.

Finally, I recommend that you look for a model train store in your area and go talk to them. You can learn a lot very quickly by talking with someone in person who cares about the hobby. While hobby stores are ok, a store dedicated to model railroading is far superior in every aspect. The probability of finding someone who really knows about model railroading in detail at a general hobby store is minimal at best.
